Selecting the Best Credit Card

The best credit card for your needs depends on how you use it. As a general rule if you pay off your balance every month then get a card that gives you the best rewards.

If you seem to always be keeping a high balance on your card then getting one with the lowest interest rate should be most important.

If you currently have a high credit card balance, then it's a good idea to transfer that debt at 0% for a certain period of time. Many people have a range of credit cards in their wallet that they use at different times and for different purposes.

Don't let debt get out of control

It's important to remember not to let your credit card debt get out of control. Interest is compounded on credit cards so paying off your minimum monthly balance is generally not good enough to reduce the debt. If you find yourself struggling to pay your credit card debt on a regular basis, don't put your head in the sand. Look at a consolidation loan that can reduce your overall monthly payments and interest so you can get back on top.
