HSBC's Platinum card offers a good value rewards points scheme at a reasonable annual fee of $129 (which is waived for the first year). The card also currently offers a generous 0%p.a. balance transfer for 6 months from non-HSBC credit and store cards (with 2% handling fee).
It also includes free insurance consisting of international travel insurance, extended product warranties, purchase protection and more.
The rewards program features an extensive range of rewards options from entertainment packages, merchandise including electrical through to homewares and wines, car hire, accommodation, cruises and more. Unlimited points earning and redeemable for up to 3 years before expiring - if you spend plenty on the card you will have plenty of options to choose from.

HSBC's Platinum card offers great rewards point earning opportunity but only for their own program. It does feature an extensive range however - check out the rewards progam here to confirm before applying for the card.
It also offers interest free purchases up to 5 years at over 1,000 retailers in Australia - a very useful platinum benefit
